From October 7 to 13, Taste Week once again celebrated the pleasure of good food, culinary discovery, and the richness of craft professions.
In Millau, KOMET proudly took part in this national event by supporting a local educational and solidarity project with the Jean Henri Fabre School, which welcomes both preschool and primary students.
A Solidarity Sale to Support the School’s Parents’ Association
To mark this week dedicated to taste and transmission, KOMET organized a special sale of handcrafted ceramic pieces, created in our Aveyron studio.
All profits from this sale were donated to the Parents’ Association (APE) of Jean Henri Fabre School.
The funds will help support educational and cultural projects such as field trips, creative workshops, and food education activities that bring learning to life for the children.
This initiative reflects our desire to connect craftsmanship and community, turning ceramics into a true tool for sharing and education.
Inspiring Children to Discover Craftsmanship
Beyond the charitable gesture, this collaboration was also an opportunity to spark children’s curiosity about materials, manual work, and the creative process.
Taste Week isn’t only about cooking — it’s about transmission, discovery, and respect for know-how.
By learning how a plate is made, from raw clay to fired ceramic, children begin to understand the value of time, care, and human touch.
At KOMET, we believe that introducing young minds to ceramic craftsmanship is also a way to pass on essential values: patience, precision, and the joy of creating something lasting with one’s hands.
Taste, Material, and Education: Shared Values
Cooking and ceramics share the same essence — the pleasure of crafting something meaningful.
Both celebrate living materials, sensitive creation, and the beauty of time and process.
By taking part in this solidarity initiative in Millau, KOMET reaffirms its commitment to youth, education, and the transmission of know-how.
Because before being a studio, KOMET is above all a human adventure — one driven by two artisans who believe in the power of connection, creativity, and sharing.
