What we do, without grand speeches
We won't talk to you about carbon targets or environmental reports.
At KOMET ceramic, ecology is not a line of communication. It's just a way of being, on a daily basis, in our workshop, in our way of producing and choosing.
Here in Aveyron, we work with daylight and a roof equipped with solar panels. It's this sun that partly powers our earthenware kilns, which run at low temperature.
We produce rhythmically, not en masse. We'd rather miss a piece than force it.
We recycle earth when it can be salvaged. Nothing is lost, everything comes back into the cycle - sometimes in another form, sometimes in a collection at a low price. We don't throw things away, we reinvent them.
And when the time comes to ship your pieces, we continue along the same lines:
Sober, recyclable, plastic-free packaging supplied by local suppliers.
Cardboard from not far away, padding designed to protect without distorting.
It's not perfect, no. But it's thoughtful. And above all: it's coherent.
We're moving forward on our own scale, in the conviction that creating beauty shouldn't be at the expense of the living world.
So on this 5 June, we're not celebrating anything. We're just continuing to do what we think is right.
