On this World Burger Day, KOMET celebrates the meeting between local gastronomy and ceramic design. Far from fast food, the burger becomes here a chef’s creation — rooted in Aveyron’s terroir and elevated by artisan tableware.
A signature burger by Thomas Saint Léger, designed down to the plate
During the Best Aveyron Burger Competition, chef Thomas Saint Léger reimagined this iconic dish with a local touch: Aveyron meat, matured cheese, artisan bread, and homemade sauces.
To enhance this creation, KOMET designed custom ceramic plates — pure lines, matte textures, and natural tones. Each piece highlights the dish’s balance and colors while reflecting the chef’s creative spirit.
At KOMET, every plate tells a story — of craftsmanship, material, and emotion at the table.
When artisan ceramics meet local gastronomy
Collaborating with chef Thomas Saint Léger means exploring the connection between tableware design and culinary expression. In a competition where presentation counts as much as taste, ceramics become a true ally — a surface that brings depth, contrast, and authenticity.
This project embodies a belief dear to KOMET: a beautiful plate enhances the dining experience. It’s a philosophy that guides every creation, whether for fine dining professionals or passionate home chefs.
A second edition already on the way
After the success of the first edition, the Best Aveyron Burger Competition will return for a second edition, with KOMET once again taking part alongside Thomas Saint Léger and new local talents.
Fresh creations and new pieces will emerge from the workshop — celebrating once again the meeting of taste, craftsmanship, and design.
And you, what would your dream burger look like if it were served on a KOMET plate?
